We must not be silent. The deliberate omission of trans voices, the manipulation of data, the cruelty of denying vital care – all these acts demand our outrage.
I was dreading the publishing of this report. My fears appear to have been correct. This does nothing to protect trans children. I am very concerned for the mental health of trans children as this report is lacking in content as to how trans children are going to be helped. It says plenty about how they intend to stop the present care, what are they going to replace it with?
Listening to the media this morning was painful. They were all upset that children had been 'experimented' on in the past, failing to understand how important puberty blockers have been in helping trans children. The fact that they have been used on CIS children for years for various conditions quite safely is avoided. This report will haunt trans people for years.
